What are the types of injection molding
1.Rubber InjectionRubber injection molding is a production method in which the rubber compound is injected directly from the barrel into the mold for vulcanization.The advantages of rubber injection molding are: although it is an intermittent operation,the molding cycle is short,the production efficiency is high,the blank preparation process is cancelled,the labor intensity is small,and the product quality is excellent.
2.Plastic Injection MoldingPlastic injection molding is a method of plastic products.The molten plastic is injected into the mold of plastic products by pressure,and the desired plastic parts are obtained by cooling and molding.There are mechanical injection molding machines dedicated to performing injection molding.The most commonly used plastic today is polystyrene.
3.Molding and Injection MoldingThe resulting shape is often the final product and no further processing is required before installation or use as a final product.Many details,such as bosses,ribs,and threads,can be formed in a single injection molding operation.

What Are The Eight Categories of Injection Molds?
1.Single Parting Surface Injection Mold
When the mold is opened,the movable mold and the fixed mold are separated to take out the plastic parts,which is called a single parting surface mold,also known as a double-plate mold.It is the simplest and most basic form of injection mold.It can be designed as a single-cavity injection mold or a multi-cavity plastic injection mold according to needs.It is the most widely used injection mold.
2.Double Parting Surface Injection Mold
The double-parting surface plastic injection mold has two parting surfaces.Compared with the single-parting surface injection mold,the double-parting surface injection mold adds an intermediate plate(also called the movable gate plate,which can be moved locally) in the fixed part of the mold.There are gates,runners and other parts and components required for the fixed mold,so it is also called a three-plate(moving template,intermediate plate,fixed template)injection mold,which is ofter used for single-type gate feeding.Cavity or multi-cavity injection mold,when the mold is opened,the intermediate plate is separated from the fixed plate by a certain distance on the guide column of the fixed mold,so that the pouring system condensate can be taken out between the two plates.The double-parting surface injection mold has a complex structure,high manufacturing cost,and difficult parts processing.Generally,it is not used for the molding of large or extra-large plastic products.
3.Injection Mold With Side Parting and Core Pulling Mechanism
When the plastic part has side holes or undercuts,it is necessary to use a core or slider that can move laterally.After injection molding,the movable mold first moves down a certain distance,and then the bending pin fixed on the fixed.
The inclined plane section forces the slider to move outward,and at the same time,the push rod of the demoulding mechanism pushes the push piece plate to make the plastic part come off from the core.
4.Injection Mold With Movable Molding Parts
Due to some special structures of plastic parts,the injection mold is required to be equipped with movable molding parts,such as movable punches,movable concave molds,movable inserts,movable threaded cores or rings,etc.,which can be combined with the plastic parts during demolding.They are removed from the mold together,and then separated from the plastic part.
5.Automatic Unthreading Injection Mold
For threaded plastic parts,when automatic demolding is required,a threaded core or ring that can be rotated can be set on the mold,and the mold opening action or the rotation mechanism of the injection molding machine can be used,or a special.
The transmission device drives the threaded core or the threaded ring to rotate,thereby releasing the plastic part.
6.Runnerless Injection Mold
The runnerless injection mold refers to the method of adiabatic heating of the runner to keep the plastic between the nozzle and the cavity of the injection molding machine in a molten state,so that there is no gating system congealing when the mold is opened and the plastic parts are taken out.
The former is called adiabatic runner injection mold,and the latter is called hot runner injection mold.
7.Right Angle Injection Mold
Right-angle injection molds are only suitable for injection molding machines.Different from other injection molds,the direction of feeding of this type of mold is perpendicular to the direction of opening and closing.His main channel is open in movement and determination. Both sides of the parting surface of the mold,and its cross-sectional area is usually unchanged,which is different from other injection molding machine molds.For wear and deformation,replaceable runner inserts can be provided.
8.Injection Mold With Ejection Mechanism on Fixed Mold
In most injection molds,the demolding device is installed on the side of the movable mold,which is conducive to the work of the ejector device in the mold opening and closing system of the injection molding machine.In actual production,due to some plastic parts.Due to the limitation of the shape,it is better to leave the plastic part on the side of the fixed mold for molding.In order to make the plastic part come out of the mold,a demolding mechanism must be provided on the side of the fixed mold.
